Lessons

Lessons are individually structured to each student's needs. We are all different and progress at different rates; some may need more lessons than others. Remember it's not a race.... it's about being safe for many years of happy driving. During the lesson everything is calmly explained, drawing on any previous road experiences. In the lesson we have found using an iPad application has proved to be very valuable in understanding road awareness. How to plan ahead in some challenging situations and how to safely negotiate these, so when we `meet` them for real they may not be so scary. We discuss at the beginning and end of each lesson what we hope to achieve and have achieved, therefore maximising your learning. We also fill in and record your progress booklet together.

Refresher and Motorway Lessons

Whether it has been a while since you last drove for whatever the reason, become nervous of increasingly busy roads, scared of driving on the motorway then a refresher lesson or two may be your answer. We will chat and discuss how we can try and overcome your fears. The lesson pace is set by you, small goals to start with and build it up so everything that is causing you a concern becomes achievable and you should soon be safer, competent and more confident driver. Refresher course`s available in many areas such as night time driving / motorway driving / parking.

Pass Plus

The Pass Plus course can be taken up to a year after passing your practical driving test. The course can either be taken over a whole day or two separate 3-4 hour sessions. There are 6 modules that include areas of Town Driving, Motorway Driving, Driving in all weathers, Driving on Rural Roads, Driving at Night and Driving on Dual Carriageways. You are assessed through each module and have to reach a standard set by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). The course is designed to increase the skills and knowledge gained during your driving lessons, improving your planning and awareness and make you a safer and confident driver. Statistics show that young and new drivers are at a higher risk of being involved in an accident within the first two years of passing their tests, mainly due to lack of road experience. Successfully completing the Pass Plus may greatly reduce the chance of you becoming a statistic. Also on completion you will be entitled to a reduction in your motor insurance policy.

Thankful Testimonials from The Doyle Family

Well what can I say??? Mary, my husband and I cannot thank you enough. When you first came into Fountain Therapies, 4 years ago to wish us luck, and told us that you were a drivng instructor, it couldn't have come at a better time, as we had been thinking about driving lessons for our Teenagers.

The amazing patience & confidence and your style of teaching that you have given them over the past 3 years has meant that both Ryan & Charlotte passed their theory and driving tests, first time! They are both very competant drivers, and are loving their independence.

It is just such a shame (selfishly) that you won't be here in West Sussex for much longer, as you would be our FIRST choice to teach our youngest daughter in 9 years time (when she is old enough to learn to drive). Maybe we will have to book an intense course in Cornwall for her 😀

Thank you so very very much. We wish you all the best in Cornwall.

Kind regards, Mark & Sam (parents), Charlotte & Ryan Doyle.
